Before I found tailoring at SC, my days were filled with longing. I was a single mother, struggling to make ends meet with odd jobs that barely paid enough for food. When I joined the tailoring class, I felt a flicker of hope. Learning to sew was like discovering a part of myself I never knew existed. As I mastered the craft, I began to create clothes for my children, and soon, I started taking commissions from neighbors. Now, I run a small business from home, and my children are thriving in school. Tailoring gave me not just skills, but the confidence to dream again
